A short time ago (Friday), the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court rejected the request of the Shin Bet and the Judea and Samaria Chief of Staff to extend the detention of the three murdered members who are being interrogated by the Shin Bet by ten days, and extended their detention until Monday. The court issued a gag order on all details of the investigation. The hearing in their case was held after the president of the court ordered that their families not be allowed to enter the walls of the Tabernacle.

An exceptional order was issued against the activists forbidding them to meet with their lawyers. Their condition is not yet clear. At the hearing, a representative of the police and Shin Bet refused to answer whether they are currently also investigating incidents of violence and riots by Arabs against Jews. After the detainees' lawyers pressed, the representative said that the Arabs in these cases had not been questioned under warning.
Attorney Nati Rom said: "Unfortunately, we were once again informed of the scandalous arrest of three suspects, some of whom have no criminal record at all, with a draconian order prohibiting meetings with an attorney. This is a very serious violation of human rights, it should be noted that for hours they did not allow us to give advice even though there was no warrant. We are very sorry that the Shin Bet and the Judea and Samaria Command are using such draconian tools against Jews and settlers, instead of eradicating terrorism."

Rom added: "We also see the bad things in other sectors the use of illegal weapons and not using neither the north nor the south nor these draconian orders of no-encounters, here there is a ban on meetings. We believe that this is preparation for administrative orders and false arrests, only media symbols in preparation for administrative detention. We regret that the forces are directed at the settlers instead of being directed at the perpetrators of attacks and against terrorist attacks."

"We are pleased that Judge Joya accepted our arguments that the detainees were not allowed to give any preliminary argument because they were not interrogated at all until this moment, we ask and hope that they will allow us to meet them as soon as possible."
It should be recalled that the three, in their twenties, friends of the victims of the terrible attack My husband, one of whom is married, was arrested yesterday evening in Samaria by detectives from the Judea and Samaria Police Department and transferred to the Shin Bet facility for interrogation.
