The settlements on Saturday evening repelled the attack by the security establishment to what took place in the past 24 hours in Binyamin, because, according to them, the anarchy that eventually led to the burning of houses and vehicles in the village of um Safa began with a riot by Palestinians on the Trans-Binyamin Highway, which took place several times, which was not prevented by the IDF.

Palestinians from the village descended on the Trans-Binyamin Highway near Ateret on Thursday night and began rioting there, throwing rocks and objects at Israeli vehicles. In response, the IDF blocked the road for many hours, provoking great anger on the Israeli side, which felt that instead of acting against the rioters, the army surrendered to them.
After this was repeated twice more, residents of the area say, Israelis decided to take their own action against the rioters.

A fight broke out between the sides and finally the settlers managed to push the Palestinians back to their village. Israelis also entered the village and burned a number of houses and vehicles. "Guys were bounced at the request of residents from the area from all sorts of places, and pushed the Arabs back to the village and of course gave them back one epic dish. The brigade commander, Eliav Elbaz, arrived at the scene and simply bounced the SWAT, Shin Bet, Special Patrol Unit and everything. The guys fled to Ataret, the army surrounded the community. The Shin Bet took over the cameras there, kicked the CSC out of the S.G.," residents say.

"While the brigade commander focused on the Jews, the Arabs managed to burn a savannah of soldiers in the village," they accuse. "The system lost control and contained Arab riots for hours on the route. When it happened the third time, the guys were just fed up." Earlier it was reported that the IDF, Shin Bet and police are changing their approach to the revenge actions of extreme right-wing members in Judea and Samaria, and a statement by the chief of staff, the head of the Shin Bet and the police commissioner defined the incidents as "nationalist terrorism" and reported that for the first time the IDF would allocate forces to prevent further attacks on Palestinian villages.

The defense minister said, "This is not our way. Strengthens IDF soldiers who work with determination and perseverance to thwart terrorism and protect the residents of Judea and Samaria. Backs and instructs all security forces to act to maintain order and prevent incidents of uncontrolled violence by civilians in the area." Honenu Director General Shmuel (Zengi) Meidad responded to the statement of the Chief of Staff and the Police Commissioner. Meidad says that they are "turning the victims into attackers," that the IDF and the police have failed to fight Arab terrorism, and he calls on his friends in the settlement leadership and the government not to remain silent to this injustice.

"In recent weeks, severe attacks have been carried out in Judea and Samaria against settlers and soldiers, including shooting attacks, IEDs, stone terror, terror in the KGBs and mass ruling events by masses of Arab rioters whose sole goal is the murder of soldiers and settlers. Unfortunately, alongside many miracles, terrorism also has successes and serious injuries among soldiers and civilians. Behind the harsh terrorism stands broad support from the Palestinian street and its leaders – with encouragement, support, incitement and spurring terrorism.

Unfortunately, IDF and police forces are failing in the face of terrorism and stand idly by. Roads are blocked for long hours, armed men celebrate in displays of power, funerals and mass displays of incitement take place – and there is no one to stop Arab terror. The police commissioner and chief of staff failed. I call on them - give security to the Jews or put down the keys. You are turning the victims into aggressors, your statements now come to cover up your failure in the war against Arab terror that is murdering us," Meidad said.
