During a demonstration of settlers in Ataret, the incident in which he ripped off half of the demonstrator's beard was documented • Now, Honenu has turned to the police commissioner and demanded: "Needless to say, the humiliation felt by a religious person who is being degraded, the policeman conducted himself in an illegal and forbidden manner."

Events in Judea and Samaria: During a demonstration by residents of Atarat about security forces entering the community to confiscate vehicles after the riots in um Safa, one of the policemen was filmed pulling on one of the demonstrators' wigs, tearing off half of his beard and throwing it on the floor to the sound of the resident's screams. Now, Honenu is demanding that the police commissioner fire the policeman.

In his letter, Adv. Eladi Wiesel addressed the police commissioner: "On Saturday night, a demonstration was held at the entrance to the settlement of Ateret to protest the contempt used by the security establishment. Settlers who came to the entrance to the settlement protested the decision of Brigade Commander Binyamin to carry out a kind of collective punishment and impose a curfew on the settlement of Ateret."

"As part of the demonstration, a number of settlers, including the complainant, sat on the entrance road to the settlement and blocked the movement of the police forces," Wiesel described. "Suddenly, without any preliminary discussion, the policeman approached the complainant, reached for his face and pulled on his beard in a powerful, violent and humiliating manner. The complainant let out a great cry of pain, but despite his cry, not only did the policeman continue to pull on his beard, but also intensified his actions, threw the beard's hair from his hand with contempt on the road and continued on his way as if nothing had happened."

Adv. Wiesel goes on to elaborate: "Needless to say, the great pain and suffering caused to a person who is pulled by his hair, let alone by the hair of his beard. and the humiliation felt by a religious person who is degraded by pulling the hair of his beard, which is of religious value to him." In his appeal, he demanded that the policeman be dismissed immediately: "The police commissioner has the authority to dismiss a police officer if it is proven to his satisfaction that the policeman is negligent or unfit to perform his duties. In the case before us, the documentation proves beyond any doubt that the policeman conducted himself in an illegal and prohibited manner."

The resident who was attacked described the incident: "We came to protest against the incompetence of the security forces in the face of terrorism – throwing stones, transport cocktails and murderous shooting attacks. We protested passively lying on the road. A policeman grabbed my beard and ripped it off. I felt hurt and humiliated by tearing out a mercilessly shining Jewish sign except for the excruciating pain of being torn off. I demand an investigation into the incident and the policeman to justice."
