Eyal Golan turned to his followers on the social network Instagram on Monday and asked for their help in his fight against a man who allegedly uses his identity to contact women and people on various platforms. To the angry story he posted around noon, Golan attached an excerpt from a conversation the impostor had with one of the women.

"In the past week I've been getting a lot of calls from people who correspond with my impostor, on all kinds of apps. This impostor is sending messages purportedly in my name, which I was just shocked to read. As far as I'm concerned, this case is extremely serious!" stressed Golan.
He went on to address his fans in order to prevent similar incidents from recurring in the future. "As you know, there are only the official profiles. I want to ask you not to lend a hand and have conversations with fictitious profiles and report that profile immediately."

Golan went so far as to attach to the story in question a screenshot of alleged correspondence between the impostor and a woman, who apparently expressed support for Golan on his online fan page. "God bless you for your comments and likes and support for my music," she wrote. "Excuse me, I still can't believe it's really you," the woman replied. "I'm in the studio now. I'll call you on a video call when I'm less busy, okay?" the alleged impostor continued to taunt her. "You look like a particularly beautiful and sweet woman," he later wrote.
