After being seriously wounded in the shooting attack, Eran Tobolsky was discharged from Shaare Zedek Medical Center on Tuesday morning.
Tobolsky, 20, arrived at the hospital with severe gunshot wounds to his upper body and underwent immediate emergency surgery. After the operation, he was transferred to the recovery ward and then to the surgical ward for further recovery, and was discharged this morning in good condition.
Last night he visited Eran, the hospital's adjudicating rabbi, Gaon Rabbi Asher Weiss, and took an interest in his well-being. Rabbi Weiss blessed Eran and wrote down his name Eran ben Naama for recovery and complete healing.

Alon Schwartz, director of the trauma unit at Shaare Zedek, said:
"Eran came to us after sustaining a severe gunshot wound. I am happy that the operation was successful, and thank all the medical staff who took part in the treatment. Eran is now in better condition, recovering, and happily discharged home for further recovery. I and the entire medical team wish him a continued good recovery and health."
Eran's parents, Naama and Avi Tobolsky, shared: "We have had difficult days, and thank God we are being released home when our son's condition is better. We sincerely thank the dedicated professional staff who treated Eran with compassion and professionalism. We thank all those who prayed for Eran's well-being, there were many prayers, Parshat Challah and we felt the enveloping embrace of the entire nation of Israel.
"We still have a way to go and we pray for Eran's continued recovery and for all those injured in recent serious attacks. We convey our condolences to the families of the victims and pray that they will no longer know grief."
The security guard who killed the terrorist was released
The security guard, Murel Niker, who killed the terrorist from the attack on my husband a week ago and was wounded in the shooting, was released from the hospital and returned home to Ali. The community welcomed him with celebration and thanksgiving for the fact that he had almost completely recovered.
Mural Niker said: "It's exciting to be back home and it's exciting to see the welcome from Ali's residents. The terrorists do not understand that the spirit of the people of Israel in general and of the residents of Ali in particular cannot be defeated. We will continue to be here, establish our family and expand the community."
Ariel al-Malih, chairman of Ali, said: "His action to seek contact and victory over the terrorists saved many people. Blessed are the people who are his sons."
