Julio Zamora, current mayor of Tigre, denounced pressure from the massismo so that he does not go for a new term and so Malena Galmarini can be the only candidate of Union for All in the district.
"There is a certain pressure for me not to be a candidate, this is a déjá vu of 2019 where there was really a very intense work for me to decline my candidacy," he said on Somos Radio.
The community chief said that there were calls from railroad officials such as Eduardo Feijoo and other "recognized militants" to ask for the resignation of members of his cabinet.
So far, the secretaries of Government and Citizen Protection and brother of the community chief, Mario Alberto Zamora; the Minister of Finance, Aníbal Mastroianni; the Citizen Protection, Pedro Ridosz; and the Undersecretary of Urban Networks, Alberto Vegnaduzzi.
"The intention is to empty my government, to give the impression that my decision to compete is not right and that there should be a single candidate in Tigre," he added.

On Saturday with the closing of lists consummated, it was known that Galmarini, the president of Argentine Water and Sanitation (AySA), will face Zamora in Tigre.

In addition, he pointed out the "anomalous" situation in which he finds himself in the electoral contest, because he has to compete with the wife of the current pre-candidate for president of his political space.
Zamora said that if the party board does not allow him to run as a candidate, something he defined as a "fatality," he will present a short list with the aim of supporting the candidacy of Axel Kicillof for the Province.
"I would like to be told today that I am inside to avoid any alternative that I do not want to use. I say it with pain, it would be very sad to go outside the party, I want Axel to be governor and for that I have to compete within the party to bring him votes, 10, 15m 20 that we can have, "he remarked.
