Neuilly-sur-Marne (Seine-Saint-Denis) experienced a turbulent night from Tuesday to Wednesday. Riots broke out in the sensitive district of Fauvettes, as in most towns in the department and in Île-de-France, following the death of Nahel, 17, killed Tuesday morning by a police officer in Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine).
Heavy mortar fire was fired in the night from 2 am in this town bordering Seine-et-Marne. They were accompanied by vehicle fires. The fire brigade was attacked during their interventions. No injuries were reported. There were no arrests. A few hours earlier in the same commune, several people were mowed down by an avid driver.
The incident occurred around 19:30 p.m., in front of a bar. That evening, a 30-year-old man and three other individuals shouted at each other. All have already drunk heavily. Patibular, the thirty-year-old gets back in a state of intoxication in his vehicle, a Citroën Saxo. According to testimonies, he then tried to hit the three people with whom he had just insulted himself, but the latter, aged between 37 and 39, managed to dodge him.
One of them fell to avoid him, his companion cut his hand, the third is unharmed. Soaked in alcohol, did the driver really have control of his vehicle? Placed in custody, he had not yet been heard on Wednesday because of his high blood alcohol level. He was still in a sobering-up cell at midday.
A jambisation and a kidnapping in the early evening
An hour and a half earlier in Pierrefitte-sur-Seine, a man was shot and wounded rue des Rougemonts, in the Joncherolles district. The victim, a man named Ilies D., 26, was transported by a friend to the Estrée clinic in Stains. He had "two bullet wounds to the right leg, but not serious," says a source close to the case.
The injured man was able to come out in the evening after receiving the necessary treatment. The victim remained silent on what looks like a settling of scores. The investigation will have to decide whether it is an attempted homicide against a background of drug trafficking. Shooting in the legs, or jambing, is one of the methods used in this environment to intimidate competitors.
At the same time in L'Île-Saint-Denis, on Jean-Lurçat Street, a teenager called the police for help and explained that he had been abducted by unknown persons. Transported to a squatted house, he was beaten with his bare hands. He was also beaten with an iron bar. In this squat, the police discovered an iron bar and a cardboard containing 111 nitrous oxide aerosols. The 16-year-old victim suffered a wound on his left cheekbone. His alleged attackers were arrested and taken into custody. They are 17 years old. No complaints have been filed at this time.
