Ben Gurion Airport is already full of passengers, with close to 100,<> passengers arriving every day. Many Israelis are expected to travel the world this summer, but quite a few strikes and manpower shortages threaten quite a few flights, many of which are postponed or fly off.
Customers of various airlines have recently been receiving cancellation notices with no same-day alternative, leaving them without a proper response. Some airlines cancel one-way flights, leaving passengers with no real solution, with prepaid hotels and attractions and having to pay a higher price for a last-minute flight.

Ireland's Ryanair, the world's largest low-cost carrier, recently sent messages to its customers asking customers to sign a petition against strikes in Europe, citing Germany, Spain, France, Italy and the UK as model countries where various strikes have resulted in thousands of flight cancellations.
Germany's Lufthansa has already announced many flight cancellations this summer, as have other airlines, which are adjusting their schedules according to their significant staffing shortages. The shortage is also felt when it comes to pilots, and many airlines are not meeting demand.

If you're due to fly this summer, it's best to protect yourself with hotels and attractions with the possibility of cancellation, as postponing or cancelling a flight can disrupt your plans. If you're supposed to be flying with a connection, make sure it's long enough so that a small delay doesn't cause you to miss your connecting flight.
As you may recall, it all began last year, when many strikes hit the United States and European countries, and now we see a long list of strikes expected to take place across Europe, with a considerable chance that this list will be extended.
