"I had a Glock but then I went to school because I had seen it in an American movie [...] I went with a multitool with knife, risked a lot to go to the juvenile [...] I wore the snap one in my jacket." They would be some of the phrases posted in the chats on Telegram ended up in the crosshairs of the Postal Police - which searched the homes of eight minors - and from which it emerges, according to the investigations, that some of the boys would have reported having brought weapons, real or blank, to school.
The searches were carried out in the cities of Avellino, Lecce, Milan, Pisa, Sassari, Nuoro and Treviso following the identification of some Telegram spaces used by teenagers to share their experiences on weapons (mainly cutting, blank or airsoft) but also homemade explosives, such as 'molotov'.
The phenomenon of sites and more recently chats in which young and very young people talk about how to do 'trap' (small homemade devices) or even Molotov cocktails, has been known for years, and has been increasing with the advent of 'replicas' (guns with the same measures, weights and materials as the real ones but not working) and with airsoft weapons, of free sale, often exhibited as trophies in photos and videos. "At the moment the investigations do not show whether they only made statements or really had those behaviors - they explain to the Postal Police - but some searches have given positive results, given that knives, toy weapons, brass knuckles and other material were found in their homes". Now it will be the juvenile court to assess whether and what measures to take.
