JJ Hings ice cream
The place. Hard to do more confidential! Hidden for the summer in a former laundromat of which she has kept the midnight blue storefront, the pastry chef Julia Bell, former of the café-boulange Ten Belles - located opposite, and with whom she shares the offices adjoining her ice machines! -, however, quickly attracted crowds in its small takeaway ice cream counter next to the Canal Saint-Martin. The sign refers to his grandmother and great-uncle, Jean and Jack Hing, who ran a vegetable business.
The dish. Scoops (balls), ice pops (Eskimo with water), soft serve (Italian ice cream), sandwiches (strawberry ice cream or peanut butter between two cookies) and floats (iced drinks): the Anglo-Saxon inspiration is clearly displayed, with original recipes with names...
