Virgin Galactic's first commercial flight into space accelerates millionaires' space race

The Virgin Galactic company, owned by British billionaire Richard Branson, launched the first commercial flight into space in the history of the planet. The Galactic 01 mission made a suborbital journey of approximately six minutes.

The three passengers aboard the VSS Unity aircraft were two Italian air force officers and an engineer. His trip had the goal of collecting biometric data and also conducting various experiments mixing elements in microgravity conditions.

According to the Virgin Galactic page, to occupy a position in one of these trips you must deposit $ 150,000 as a reservation and then pay another $ 300,000.

The company plans to make a new trip in early August. If there are no problems, Virgin Galactic will run monthly tours from that date.
