Two drownings within hours: CPR on a 50-year-old; 40-year-old in serious condition | Israel Hayom

Two men drowned Saturday at Sdot Yam and Youth beaches. Emergency medical forces are fighting for their lives.

At Sdot Yam, a 40-year-old man drowned and was pulled out of the water by bathers who were there. MDA medics and paramedics gave him medical treatment and evacuated him to Hillel Yaffe Hospital in serious condition, anesthetized and on a ventilator.

MDA paramedic Tamar Yuval said: "When we reached the beach, we saw the man lying unconscious near the waterline on the undeclared beach. Civilians who were on the beach told us that they saw him in the water and pulled him to shore. We gave him life-saving medical treatment, including medication and ventilation, and evacuated him to hospital in serious condition."

Also, already 50 years old, he drowned on the northern shore of youth to Netanya. Medical personnel perform CPR on him.
