Coke Cola for gamers, ketchup-Pepsi, a particularly sparkling "Slurpy" and an enormous bottle of wine that should be enough for an entire party (or even two, three). Since it's hot outside and we don't want you to get dehydrated, we've chosen to refresh your day, wet your throat and quench your thirst with reports of some new and rather strange drinks (and related products) recently launched around the world.

Three billion bubbles for life

Let's start with an aperitif. It is known that the average content of a bottle of champagne or wine is 750 ml of drink, and with that we have learned to manage. However, over the years, some alcohol companies and brands have launched bottles of slightly less conventional sizes. Until 2022, he held the record for the "largest bottle of champagne in the world" Champagne Drappier's Melchizedek. The Melchizedek bottle contains 30 liters of high-quality champagne, and only 25 units of it are produced annually.

Lately, however, competition has sounded bubbling beneath the surface. The American sparkling wine company Luc Belaire launched the bottle of Zeus a few days ago. It contains no less than 45 liters of intoxicating drink and weighs more than 72 kilograms. The liquor house says that the development process of the colossal bottle took seven years. The winemakers were assisted by, among other things, aerospace engineers. The bottle is made of special metal (not glass), which keeps the champagne at the right temperature and pressure and prevents the estimated three billion bubbles in the bottle from being released, not on us, for nothing. Want? So far, the company has created two giant bottles for display purposes only. The product is expected to be offered for sale later this year, at a price that has not yet been determined. Salut.

Coke-flavored ketchup, anyone?

You'll probably agree with us - it's usually customary to serve a chilled glass of Coke next to the hot dog in our bun, not on it. So that's it, not anymore. Pepsi believed that the distance between drinking and hot dog should be reduced as much as possible and launched the Colachup - a ketchup dip that contains real Pepsi and claims to carry its flavor. The product was developed in collaboration with the Culinary Institute of America. Manufacturers pride themselves on being "a revolutionary new sauce enhanced by the rich caramel flavors and citrus flavors of Pepsi Cola," according to Jenny Danzi, a senior executive at the U.S. beverage company. If you go into the detailed ingredient list of the product, you will find smoked tomatoes, onions, spices such as sage, cinnamon, paprika and oregano, and of course ketchup. All of these together, according to Danzi, should upgrade the taste of our hot dog many times over.

So where do you get the coveted coltshop? Well, the bad news is that for now, the product will only be offered on July 4, American Independence Day, at four baseball stadiums across the US (Phoenix, New York, Minneapolis and Detroit). The good news: the samples will be given away for free. So maybe it's really worth investing in a quick plane ticket to America and on the way to watch a festive baseball game.

Coke for gamers only

In recent years, Coca-Cola has been providing us with rather strange (and artillery) flavors as part of its Coca-Cola Creations series. So after the dreamy taste and the space flavor we managed to report, comes a new and "ultimate" flavor designed for gamers. Meet Coca-Cola Ultimate - a limited-edition product developed in collaboration with the game company Riot, which is behind the popular web title League of Legends, which no gamer does not know (for better or for worse). The drink is available in several countries, including the United States, Canada, China and South Korea, and although the flavor ingredients are kept secret, netizens claim to have felt pineapple, banana, gum and gummy flavors. Coca-Cola and Riot define the unique taste as "the feeling you experience after winning the battle or moving up the rank" - but unfortunately we didn't get to sample it ourselves to make sure that this is the case (and Coca-Cola Israel has not yet responded to our question about whether the product is expected to arrive in Israel).

Slurpy of the expensive

Salerphy, Seven Elven's iconic sparkling hail drink, is considered the perfect summer treat – and now sparkling. The well-known chain of convenience stores (which landed in Israel this year) will soon launch a prestigious "slurping jewelry" collection in the US, which includes, among other things, a necklace, bracelet, ring and keychain designed in the spirit of the brand. The coveted ballings are plated in 14k gold, set with VVS diamond-like stones, and cost between $100 and $120 – quite reasonable. The cool capsule collection was developed in collaboration with the street jewelry and hip-hop company King Ice, and if you're into it you can get a little more in-depth impression here. Oh, and rapper Flo Millie, an apparently avid slurpee fan, released a new song to mark the launch. Brienne Paris for the masses!
