The leader of the Democratic Party of the province of Buenos Aires, Matías Cerdá, announced that he lowered his candidacy as a pre-candidate for mayor of Vicente López, along with the list of councilors composed of leaders of the different parties that make up the alliance La Libertad Avanza, which they had presented on Saturday, June 24 in the partisan Electoral Board.
"Javier Milei decided to be an accomplice of Kirchnerism. Therefore, we decided not to participate in these elections and withdrew our list in Vicente López," Cerdá announced Monday in a statement. He said this shortly after journalist Mariano Roa revealed in Clarín Sergio Massa's agreements with the Buenos Aires coordinators of Milei in the assembly of lists in Tigre.
Another of the leaders who showed his disagreement with the closure of lists of La Libertad Avanza was Juan Carlos Bloomberg, who at the headquarters of the Democratic Party accused Sergio Massa of financing Milei. "And notice that many candidates on Milei's list are from Massa... This is the reality, they did a strategic job and caught us all," Bloomberg said on social networks.
"They used me for the photo," Bloomberg told Perfil. He added: "On Saturday at the Democratic Party meeting there were all the people who were shit. Everyone said that they used them working a year and a half for the campaign, and the day before the closing of the lists they put all other people in. And that's where Massa got in. I was really disappointed. On top of that, they placed Guillermo Montenegro, the boyfriend of (Victoria) Villarruel, third on the Buenos Aires list for Deputies, a piece of paper."
The case of Vicente López
Nothing presaged that Cerdá would be discharged as a pre-candidate for mayor of Vicente López, along with his list of councilors until this Monday he announced that decision with a statement where he accused Javier Milei of "being an accomplice of Kirchnerism."
Official sources from La Libertad Avanza downplayed Cerdá's resignation and told Clarín that "he was not the candidate nor was he going to be, even though he had presented a list" to compete in Vicente López. And they added: "Our candidate for mayor there is Juan Pablo Pliauzer. So where did he get off?, they ironized."
On Saturday, June 25, the day after the presentation of party lists, Cerdá released a photo signing his presentation as candidate for mayor of Vicente López. And at the end of last year he inaugurated his Democratic Party headquarters in Munro, with the presence of the deputy and candidate for vice president Victoria Villarruel, to whom he responds politically in the Buenos Aires armed forces.

But on Monday he released a statement announcing his resignation and that of his entire list. In a dialogue with Clarín, the leader of the Democratic Party denounced the Buenos Aires shipowners of Milei, Carlos Kikuchi and Sebastián Pareja, who "wanted to impose on us the first two candidates for councilors, who never participated here and have no background to occupy those places on the list."
"They ended up putting Luis Palomino as first councilor, who is an Alfonsinist leader of Emilio Monzó; and María Rosa Melano, a plastic artist friend of Carolina Píparo's family. But we rejected them and ended up resigning all of them, because of the discretionary management they have, as in the provinces, where they ignore their candidates," Cerdá told Clarín.
Asked if he knew Juan Pablo Pliauzer, who ended up being the candidate for mayor of Vicente López for La Libertad Avanza, Cerdá said that "nobody here knows him. They are going to end up weakening Milei's space in the province and they are going to be left without prosecutors, because they look down on those of us who have been working to make Milei president."

Close to Milei they preferred to minimize the rupture of the leaders of Vicente López with La Libertad Avanza, as they did with the results of several provincial elections, such as the last ones in San Juan, where Milei did not recognize their candidates 48 hours before those elections, despite the fact that they presented themselves in three lists and in total they did not reach 4% of the votes.
The wave of resignations in the political space of the libertarian was also manifested in Entre Ríos, where in recent days two candidates for provincial senators resigned and put at risk the presentation of the candidacy for governor in that province. Two discriminatory candidates were also displaced. And complications arose in Misiones and La Pampa, because the corresponding parties do not have their papers in order, while in Santa Cruz they did not even present candidates.
In any case, sources close to Milei denied these accusations and told Clarín that they are complications of a new, growing alliance, which is presented for the first time throughout the country. There are 21 districts where their candidates are already confirmed, "more than Massa presented in 2015." And in the province of Buenos Aires "we presented candidates for mayors and councilors in 121 municipalities, out of 135, almost the same number that Massa presented in 2015," they stressed close to Milei.
