Hot, even hotter, hot... Frozen! In honor of International Ice Cream Day bursting out of the freezer just today (Sunday), we peeled ourselves off the air conditioner and set out to find the new ice cream flavors (and smoothies and iceds) of summer 2023.
Chill our taste buds: cornflakes crunch with a legendary twist, a triple Bamba attack, a hot date between Rogelach and ice cream, a winter taste that conquers the hot season and a particularly sweet collaboration between a leading chain and the most famous doll in the world. Bring nail polish.
Ice cream doll
International Ice Cream Day falls in the exact same week that the movie "Barbie" hits the cinema. Cosmic coincidence, hand of fate or planned conspiracy? Who cares, the main thing is that the Golda chain came up with the matter in advance and stitched together a delicious collaboration with the new blockbuster.
From today until Wednesday, everyone is invited to come to Golda's branches with an old Barbie doll, donate it to underprivileged families (through the Petachon Lev organization) and receive an ice cream ball as a gift – a reward for the gesture.

But that's not all, as Golda also presents a limited edition "Barbie" flavor: pink ice cream flavored with cotton candy with meringue fragments, as well as Barbie milkshakes, pink and apple donuts and a bar of strawberry-white chocolate. Not enough for you? No problem: on the chain's Facebook and Instagram pages there is an activity waiting where you can organize a VIP screening of the film at Cinema City, and you will agree with us that this combination closes every possible doll corner.

Don't stain your passport
On the way to Rome, you pass through Vanilia, which is partnering with the Gulliver tourism brand for international cooperation. Until the beginning of August, you can taste the new white chocolate and mango layered flavor online – developed and concocted in recent months especially for the sale.
And now, if you hurry up and manage to answer the question today – International Ice Cream Day, as a reminder – on the official website of the cooperation, you can win a couple vacation in Rome, which includes a flight, a hotel and a private culinary tour (they say there is great gelato there, by the way). What's new in Legenda's summer 2023 flavor collection? Let's see: Nutella mascarpone (mascarpone ice cream combined with and topped with Nutella and hazelnut cream); Vegan tropical fruit freezer (mango, pineapple, passion fruit and a touch of creamy coconut, with more than 65% fruit).

In cold buckets mix the seasons and bring winter to summer. The chain is launching a flavor that is usually sipped in the cool season – orchid – or more precisely: orchid-flavored ice cream with cinnamon riffle and toasted coconut, which is recommended, you know, to eat frozen. In addition, another new flavor is being launched in a cold bucket: cookie dough with chocolate chips, bursting with generous and corrupt chunks of... Cookie dough and chocolate chips.

Quick, before it's over: Rebar is launching two limited-edition summer drink series, led by the shake & pop series, based on a soy-based vanilla freezer with milkshake texture and enhanced by crunchy toppings and tapioca balls.
Starring: cinna bonna (cinnamon, banana, maple granola, honey, almond drink, tapioca balls and banana chip topping); Coco Matcha (matcha, banana, mango, honey, coconut drink, tapioca balls and hazelnut croquette topping; tutti frutti (strawberry, chocolate granola, honey, vanilla soy drink, tapioca balls and caramelized pecan topping); and mocca latte (coffee, guarana, banana, honey, vanilla soy drink, tapioca balls and hazelnut croquette topping). 29 NIS / 25 NIS for club members.

Don't be fooled
Bubble brulee, anyone? B-FRESH is bubbling up our summer with its B-BUBBLE collection, which includes two categories of flavors fortified with tapioca pearls and fruit-flavored Boba balls.
The Bubble Brulee category is based on dairy beverages in the flavors of milk jam, strawberry-vanilla, lotus coffee, matcha, toffee-caramel and dark chocolate and toppings; While the Bubble infusions category consists of tea infusions (verbena, hibiscus, black tea) plus fruit. Choose a color, (almost) any color. Greg Cafe collaborates with Tnuva Alternative and launches a worldwide series of vegan smoothies based on fruits and dairy substitutes, combining flavors of ice cream and spices.
The series, available in stores until October, includes four colorful flavors: Amazonas Rainbow Shake (a purple smoothie with blueberries, passionfruit, coconut, sugar water, vanilla sorbet and oat milk); Africa Sunrise Shake (green smoothie with watermelon, melon, mint, vanilla sorbet, sugar water and soy milk); Sidney Forest Shake (a green smoothie that mixes baby spinach, cucumber, apple, banana, Medjool date and almond milk); and Rio Waves Shake (a yellow smoothie made with pineapple, banana, mango, ginger, passionfruit, roasted almonds and almond milk). 32 NIS.

Blue-and-white carnival
That's what we call a summer combine. BurgerRanch is launching three ice cream flavors in collaboration with Bamba Osem, in what the chain defines as the ultimate Israeli combination – at least when it comes to desserts. The three flavors in the series are Bamba Nougat Carnival, Red Bamba Carnival and Bamba Popcorn Carnival – all of which combine the desired Bamba flavor with airy vanilla ice cream (fur). 15 NIS. So what's next, Bamba-Pai? If we go for it, we demand royalties.

Aces on the way
The Si Cafe chain, whose branches can be found at Dor Alon gas station complexes throughout Israel and along Highway 6, refreshes its collection of frozen and shredded beverages with iced flavors of vanilla cookies, Chinese vanilla pecan, tropical iced (mango passionfruit) and iced nuts, as well as peach mojito iced tea (peach monin, monin mojito, lemon juice and classic tea), and blackberry iced tea (black raspberry monin, Monin Alderflower, lemon juice, classic tea and mint). 23-16 NIS.

Hadid ice cream
At the Yotvata Inn on the way to Eilat, they didn't go too far for a new ice cream flavor – date yogurt. The guys just jumped into the nearby date groves, collected all the necessary fruits from there, mixed with the fresh yogurt (combining the sweet date with the tart yogurt creates an interesting balance), and here you have a natural taste (without preservatives and flavor enhancers) and fresh, which according to Yotvata people you will not find anywhere else in Israel. 24 NIS per medium serving.

Update from the freezer: From now on, most McDonald's stores offer salty pretzel flavored ice cream, after the taste proved itself over the past two years at its subsidiary, Mac Ice Cream. Welcome to the dessert menu.
