The young woman's mother, Fadila, has since been filled with anguish. To the regional daily, she assures him: "My daughter is not at all suicidal, she loves life." And the latter to specify that Donia would suffer from bipolarity and could be "fragile psychologically.

Since then, a complaint for "disturbing disappearance" has been filed and an investigation opened. The investigations were entrusted to the Departmental Security of the Alpes-Maritimes. In Le Figaro, a source close to the case confirms that investigations are underway. The investigators would strive at this stage to reconstruct the course of the disappeared, using in particular the video surveillance cameras of the city of Cannes.
At the time of her disappearance, Donia M., 1m67, was wearing a black cyclist and bodysuit, with matching waders. Black hair, brown eyes and luscious lips, the young woman is described as "athletic with curves".
