During an interview with Socios del show (El Trece, at 10.30), Baby Etchecopar was asked about the controversy that broke out between Wanda Nara and Jorge Lanata, which resulted in him remembering a health problem of his son and breaking down. "You drop a plane on top, it's hard," he revealed.
It all started when the notary Tomás Díaz Cueto approached the journalist to ask for his point of view on the reaction of the media after the host of Periodismo Para Todos gave a news about the state of health of the media, who was hospitalized at that time.

"I don't do journalism for journalists, but I don't think that at any time has evil crossed his path. Out there it was a mistake, but I don't think so. I really don't know. I don't see it as serious," Baby replied.
In that sense, he added: "Wanda Nara said that the children found out first (by him than by her). But it is unfortunate to be known because (the news) reaches the press first than the family."
"But no one can use a misfortune, I tell you because I lived it with family, to have a scoop," the driver said about a personal experience he had to go through.
Etchecopar spoke at the exit of Radio Rivadavia, where he works as a host.

On what happened to Leandro Etchecopar three years ago, the interviewee said: "I tell an anecdote. My son is going to kill me for telling it, but my son had Hodgkin's (lymphoma), just like Facundo (Arana)."
"He went to do the tests and I told him 'Leandro, we're going to look for you.' No, I'm going alone,' he told me, because that's how he is," Etchecopar continued. I was in the middle of the TV show and he said, 'Dad, I got tested, I have cancer, I don't want to die, I don't know where I am.'
He was immediately shocked to talk about this topic: "I don't want to cry, but... (breaks). It's hard."

"How did you transise it?" asked Díaz Cueto. "Bad, bad... It's my son. Therefore, I think this Wanda should not be touched from entertainment or political journalism. It's very ugly for the family, it's very ugly for the one who has it. No one is judged, you drop a plane up. It's hard," he replied honestly.
