The heat wave that is hitting Israel continues into next week – and instead of weakening, it is even getting stronger. Sunday will see an increase in temperatures and heavier heat loads across the country. Moreover, in terms of the duration of the heat wave, we are already talking about 13 consecutive days in which the wave will be felt in Israel, and in fact we will not see a change in the hot and heavy weather prevailing in Israel to the end of the forecast range. In this respect, this is an unusual wave in length in the Israeli summer, because almost no such heat durations have been measured in the past.
This significant forecast is now joined by the Israel Meteorological Service, which states that not only will there be no easing next week, but that the wave will continue and worsen even more. The service also adds that it does not currently determine the anomaly of the wave, but it is likely to be considered unusual in its duration. A comprehensive research evaluation will be conducted in relation to it.
