Full backing: Against the backdrop of the protests and the continuation of legal legislation and the cancellation of the grounds of reasonableness, former senior defense officials, including heads of Mossad, Shin Bet and IDF reserve generals, sent a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday, writing, among other things, that they support the action of the reserve refuseniks.
The letter's dispatchers added that "the legislative moves are tearing the people apart and crushing Israel's security."

"To the hon. Prime Minister Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu. We, the heads of the Mossad and the Shin Bet, chiefs of staff, IDF generals in the reserves, heads of divisions in the Mossad and the Shin Bet, see you as directly responsible for the severe damage to the IDF and Israel's security," the signatories wrote.
"The Israeli government headed by you is advancing legislative measures with complete disregard for the damage to Israeli democracy," they added. "The legislative action shatters the common ground of Israeli society, tears the people apart, dismantles the IDF and severely damages Israel's security."
"The legislative process violates the social contract that has existed for 75 years between the government of Israel and the thousands of commanders and reserve soldiers from the ground, air, navy, and intelligence forces who volunteered for many years in the reserves to defend the democratic State of Israel, and now announce with a broken heart that they are suspending their volunteering."
"We, the generals in the reserves, the heads of divisions in the Mossad and the Shin Bet, stand with them and fully back the fighters who decided to take action and suspend their volunteering for reserve service. At this difficult time, this is an act of national responsibility to defend Israeli democracy."
