None of the four women he assaulted were present in the courtroom. One of them went to the Meaux courthouse on Friday in the early afternoon. But, shaking, she preferred to leave before the trial of the young man, judged by the criminal court of Meaux for sexual exhibition and sexual assault under the influence of drugs. Facts committed Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, in the area of the station, in Vaires-sur-Marne, for which he had been arrested by the municipal police, alerted by the victims.
The defendant was charged with masturbating with his hand in his pants in front of a first victim and touching the sex and buttocks of three other women. It is an understatement to say that this 24-year-old homeless man did not lengthen the hearing. President Guillaume Lespiaucq, who tried to get details, was sent back in his goals by the young man, arms crossed in the box: "I recognize the facts, I take my pain, and it's good." The magistrate did not let himself be done: "This is not a trial, we need to understand what happened in your head". The homeless man explained: "I had smoked too much cannabis. I intend to stop. It was drugs that did that."
"What all women fear"
Only one of the four complainants was represented at the hearing. "My client is so traumatized that she couldn't stay. What am I going to tell him? " asked Me Carine Chevalier-Kasprzak. Respondent's response: "I was going to explain myself, but she's not here. I thought I bought CBD but I was given real drugs." During her pleadings, the lawyer for the civil party insisted on a detail: "When my client met her eyes, she immediately measured the danger, she felt the potential for dangerousness. What happened to her is what all women fear on the street."
The prosecutor Eric de Valroger requested three years in prison, including 18 months firm, with a warrant of detention and prohibition to appear in Vaires-sur-Marne: "The gestures were supported. The defendant grabbed the victims' sex and buttocks tightly. This individual is dangerous, he has the profile of someone who can reoffend."
"Excessive" requisitions for Me Bogos Boghossian, the defense lawyer: "His addiction to cannabis is probably at the origin of his acts. We are on an impulse and we leave." He pleaded the acquittal "with the benefit of the doubt", concerning the offence of sexual exhibition: "I am not saying that nothing happened and that the victim was not traumatized. But we don't have formal proof that he masturbated." The defense lawyer obtained the acquittal, as to the sexual exhibition. On the other hand, his client was sentenced to one year in prison, with a warrant of committal, for sexual assault. He was forbidden to appear in Vaires-sur-Marne for three years.
