The observation of sharks in the Mediterranean, especially of the so-called "blue skin" species, is not exceptional in this breeding season, the young venturing more easily near the coast in search of prey. A week earlier, two blue sharks were already seen on the beach of Port-Bou, on the other side of the Spanish border, a few kilometers from Barcarès. Although impressive, individuals of this species are harmless to humans.
