A chess tournament in Russia ended in scandal, when one of the players had an outbreak of rage and assaulted three people, who had to be hospitalized with serious injuries.
According to local media, the incident took place at a competition in St. Petersburg. For reasons that did not transcend, one of the participants became angry and began to hit the organizers with the board.
Those attacked were the judge of the competition, the security guard of the venue where the tournament was held and one of the administrators of the chess club that organized the event, according to the Telegram channel 112.
All those attacked had to seek medical assistance and were admitted to a hospital in "serious condition". One of them saw one of his ears seriously compromised.
Meanwhile, the assailant, 36, was arrested by police and is waiting to go to court, the Shot channel added.
