Four days after an Israeli passenger rioted on an easyJet flight to Amsterdam, which led to the flight making an emergency landing in Venice, Italy, when he later confronted police, today (Monday) it turns out that the same passenger who was arrested after his actions was released the same day.

According to the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the passenger did not even arrive at one of the Israeli missions in Italy, and was released a short time later. At the moment, there is no information regarding the continuation of the Israeli traveler's journey, and it is unclear whether he returned to Israel or continued to travel in Europe. EasyJet explained that it was a group of passengers who behaved inappropriately during the flight to Amsterdam, which caused the emergency landing in Venice.
The British airline said: "EasyJet confirms that flight EJU7972 from Tel Aviv to Amsterdam, which took place on July 20, was forced to land in Venice, where local police were waiting for it, due to a group of passengers rioting on the plane. The flight continued to Amsterdam shortly thereafter."
The statement continued: "The crew is trained to assess all situations and act quickly and appropriately, to ensure flight safety and the safety of passengers at all times. Although such incidents are rare, we take them very seriously and do not allow abusive or threatening behavior on board. The safety and well-being of passengers and crew is always easyJet's top priority."
