Zion District police officers in the Jerusalem District arrested another suspect, a 39-year-old resident of Tel Aviv, on suspicion of intentionally damaging a vehicle yesterday afternoon.
Yesterday, the Israel Police opened an investigation into intentionally damaging a vehicle, following a report received this afternoon from a woman who was with her young children in the area of Begin Road in Jerusalem, when it was blocked to traffic following a disturbance in the area.

It is suspected that several rioters blocked her path on the road, and at one point one of them pounded hard with an Israeli flag stick he was holding on the rear windshield of her car and shattered it, all in front of her frightened children who were sitting in the back seat of the car at the time. Fortunately, there were no casualties as a result of the serious act.

During the investigation, it emerged that the suspects also confronted another driver who was at the scene after this incident, and allegedly hit his vehicle as well.
Last night, a suspect was arrested in Sacher Park (45, resident of Hod Hasharon). At the end of his interrogation he was imprisoned, and today he was brought with a request to extend his detention. The court decided to place him under house arrest, and the police appealed the decision to a district court.
As mentioned, another suspect was arrested a short time ago by Yalap Zion detectives at his home, and at this time he is being brought to the police for questioning.
A police officer who worked at the scene said: "What happened on the Begin road was as far as there was from a lawful protest, a disturbance of the peace and a violent riot for its own sake. In addition to the fact that hundreds of rioters significantly damaged the fabric of life of Jerusalem residents and road users in the area, they refused to evacuate, physically confronted us, attacked, rioted and even threw objects at us from a height. All our warnings were not heeded and our policemen were injured. This is one of the most violent disturbances in Jerusalem in recent times."
