With an exclusive story by Alejandro Apo, a fielder took advantage of the fact that his name is Julián Álvarez and makes a football campaign

Highlights: The author of a book about the U.S. midterm elections looks at the impact of the election on the country's political system. He says the results can be traced back to the last election, which was held in 2008. The author says the winner of this year's election will be the winner in the next election in 2016. The winner will then face off against the loser in the 2016 presidential election. The results will be decided by a vote of the American public, which will be held in November.

The candidate, former Secretary of Justice of Cristina Kirchner, goes to the PASO against three lists of Union for the Fatherland in Lanús and appeals to the World Cup fever.

The conquest of the Qatar World Cup by the Scaloneta has paid off in the advertising world, and in this electoral campaign he reached some jingles, such as Mario Ishii in José C. Paz, but the one who went further is the camporista Julián Álvarez, pre-candidate for mayor of Lanús de Unión por la Patria, who used his namesake, striker of the National Team, for a spot with the voice of commentator Alejandro Apo.

With the image of the Obelisk full of Argentines in the celebration of the world title, the spot begins in which the former reporter of Fútbol Para Todos warns: "There is another Julián Alvarez and he is from Lanús". Thus begins the comparison of the pre-candidate for communal chief of the south of the conurbation with the striker of Calchín, in the east of Córdoba.

"He is not the footballer, but he always goes forward, and together with his wife Virginia they felt like world champions when their two children were born," Apo's story continues.

He points out that he is a lawyer, that he was Secretary of Justice in the government of Cristina Kirchner and that he is currently a councilor in Lanús, where he won the PASO 2021 and in which he will now also go to a Primary against three other rivals.

The soccer line of the spot recalls that Diego Armando Maradona was born in Lanús and shows the plaque in the Evita hospital. In turn, Apo reports that he can be found "on any corner" and that he has "his own business", so he "knows first-hand the needs of merchants".

It is not the first time that Álvarez has presented himself as a candidate for mayor. In 2015, when Peronist community chief Darío Díaz Pérez ran for provincial deputy, Alvarez lost to Néstor Grindetti by just 3,375 votes.

Now he must go to an internal one and then face the candidate of Together for Change that Grindetti blessed: Diego Kravetz, current interim mayor and who also has an internal rival.

Álvarez's rivals in the internal Peronist Lanús

In addition to Julián Álvarez, who prevailed in the PASO 2021 of the Frente de Todos and who in the general election of that year lost by just 2,249 votes, there will be three Peronist lists.

With Sergio Massa as presidential candidate, the Frente Renovador will have Nicolás Russo, provincial deputy and former president of Club Atlético Lanús, as candidate for mayor.

On the other hand, and as in 2019, the Evita Movement postulates Agustín Balladares, councilor since 2021.

And the fourth list is the one that entered after several claims in the Electoral Board. It is headed by the historic leader of the union of the state ATE and founder of the CTA, Victor De Gennaro. After the complaint of Claudio Lozano and the threat to leave the FdT, the Electoral Board of Union for the Fatherland enabled him to compete.

Since the defeat of 2015, there have always been inmates in the local Kirchnerism. In 2017, there were three lists of Citizen Unity; in the 2019 mayoral elections, the lists of the Frente de Todos were four and Edgardo Depetri won.

Mario Ishii climbed the Scaloneta with a World Cup jingle: "We continue to make history, dog"

Mario Ishiise climbed to the Scaloneta with a World Cup jingle "For reelection"

A little more than seven months after the coronation of the Argentine National Team in the Qatar World Cup and almost 20 days before the PASO, José C. Paz launched a jingle for Mario Ishii's political campaign that went viral.

Considered one of the last barons of the Conurbano, Ishii already sounds in social networks and streets through the spot and the song that his militants and members of groups put together for him.

This is the song "Pa' la Selección", which was popularized by the cumbia duo 'La T y La M'. Titled "Pa' la reelecciones", the Peronist version of José C. Paz accumulates thousands of reproductions.

The now traditional battle of catchy jingles that seek to impose the names of the candidates on the people stomped on José C. Paz, a district in the Northwest of the Conurbano where Peronism always garnered a good flow of votes.

"Alas! Mario Ishii 2023. For re-election," the song begins, emulating the piano of the original version. The composition also has a video clip that, as the melody progresses, shows milestones of the mayor's management that has been leading local politics for 26 years (with 4 exceptions in which Carlos Urquiaga governed). "¡Seguimo' haciendo historia, perro!" is heard in another passage, replacing the original phrase "we send you cumbia, perro."

In many districts they begin to take over political marketing with jingles of La Mosca, hits like Mercho and other issues that point to the young vote. Lomas de Zamora, Ezeiza and Tigre are other municipalities where both Union for the Fatherland and Together for Change sought to install their candidates with songs of the moment. That of José C. Paz, for now itches in point.
