That day, Cyril Hanouna had invited Gérard Fauré, presented as "the ex-dealer of the Tout-Paris". The guest was to discuss the Pierre Palmade case and drug use. The comedian had caused a road accident in February, seriously injuring a family while he was under the influence of cocaine. But on the set of "Touche pas à mon poste", the sequence had taken a hallucinatory turn.
Fake news
Gérard Fauré had then evoked adrenochrome, a drug which, according to his statements, is "taken from the blood of kidnapped three-year-old children". A conspiracy fake news denied by AFP in 2018. He then accused other personalities of consuming it such as the singer Celine Dion and even the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron. During his speech, a banner stating "the words of our guest are his own" had appeared. Later in the evening, the C8 channel had specified via a Twitter post "strongly condemn the remarks made live by Gérard Fauré". But the damage was already done.

'Some complacency'
Arcom believes that Cyril Hanouna has shown a "certain complacency" towards the remarks of Gérard Fauré which should have been "firmly and immediately" contradicted. For the audiovisual gendarme, it is a "lack of control of the antenna".
This fine of 500,000 euros is in addition to those already imposed on the C8 talk during the year. Last February, "Touche pas à mon poste" was sentenced to pay 3.5 million euros following Cyril Hanouna's insults against LFI MP Louis Boyard. A few months later, the score rose again. This time the host had attacked the mayor of Paris, at the time of the football World Cup. "I saw that Anne Hidalgo was not going to put giant screens to see the matches. But what hypocrisy! Without messing around, what hypocrisy! She doesn't want to shut her mouth! Without laughing," he said live.
