In a shooting incident that took place Thursday near a butcher shop in Sakhnin, a 19-year-old man was seriously wounded, a 20-year-old man was moderately wounded, and two in their 50s sustained minor injuries. MDA medics and paramedics who arrived at the scene provided medical treatment to the four wounded and evacuated them to the Galilee Hospital in Nahariya. The police have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
MDA medic Bhagat Umbashi said: "There was a lot of commotion at the scene. The four wounded were lying conscious with penetrating wounds to their bodies. We gave them medical treatment that included stopping the bleeding and bandages and evacuated them to the hospital while continuing life-saving medical treatment, while the 19-year-old man is in serious condition and the other three injured are in moderate and light condition."
