The novel between Kylian Mbappé, PSG and Real Madrid does not stop adding chapters. But the last one that appeared could sponsor a closure, or at least that's what the European press anticipated. It is that the Parisian team would finally be willing to sell the French striker and would have already sent the Spaniards the price of the player.
According to Marca and some French media, PSG valued Mbappé at 250 million euros, a figure that Faiza Lamary, the player's own mother, would have brought him closer to Real Madrid. However, the amount is above what the Spanish club would be willing to pay.
In that sense, a tug-of-war process between Real Madrid and PSG seems to be imminent. Fundamentally for a reason: if the Parisian team does not reach an agreement with the Merengue in this market of passes, Mbappé, whose contract expires in June 2024, would go free and without leaving a single euro to the French club.
At PSG they are aware of that situation. The outlook for them is not easy, of course, because Real Madrid runs with the advantage of time. It will be very important the conversations that the directors of both clubs can have to reach an agreement and that the two can take a profit: for PSG it would be to receive a significant figure for the player and prevent him from going free, and for Real Madrid, obtain it for a reasonable price.

Negotiations for Mbappé, so far, only through intermediaries
Anyway, until now, there was no direct contact between the offices of Real Madrid and those of PSG. As it is said, because in the Merengue they are still upset with the president of the Parisian team, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, after he, in August 2021, did not respond to any of the three formal offers that Florentino Pérez and his people made for Mbappé, who, at that time, was in the same situation as now: with only one year of contract to fulfill.
