The Abraham Accords opened up quite a few new destinations for Israelis on direct flights, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, Marrakech in Morocco, Manama in Bahrain and more.
One of the buds of the agreement announced now is the direct flights Arkia will operate to Essaouira, one of Morocco's most beautiful beach destinations, after the Israeli airline signed an agreement with the kingdom's tourism board.
Flights are expected to start operating as early as October, when prices start at $199 per person each way, and it will even be possible to combine flights to Marrakech in one direction and Essaouira in the other, which travel distance between them is about two and a half hours.

Beyond being an interesting beach destination, Essaouira is known for its various festivals, interesting local culture and Jewish history that is an inseparable part of it. Arkia will also offer packages for 9-4 nights, including festivals, flights, accommodation and transfers, starting at $ 999 per person.
Gadi Teper, Arkia's chairman, called the agreement "historic" and said it "will allow Israelis to enjoy a unique destination that offers festivals, culture, a beautiful beach and unique architecture of the city. Marketing the destination, which is rich in Jewish culture and heritage, is part of our strategy to offer the Israeli public fascinating cultural destinations. I would like to thank His Highness the Advisor to the King of Morocco Andy Azoulay, who sponsored the agreement and honored us with his presence at the signing ceremony, and the Director General of the Moroccan Tourism Bureau, Adel Al-Fakir."
