The National Council of the Bar Association elected Adv. Muhammad Naamaneh, Chairman of the Northern District of the Bar, as the Chamber's representative on the Judicial Selection Committee. In addition, they elected a member of the National Council, Adv. Weisman, as the Bureau's representative on the committee for the selection of military judges. Adv. Tammy Ullman was elected Acting Head of the Bureau.

Behar added: "I am very proud of Naamaneh's choice. We pledged about a month and a half ago that the Bar Association would be a candle and light for progressive and egalitarian democracy, and that the Chamber's representatives on the Judicial Selection Committee would reflect this. The election of Naamaneh proves that the definition of equality is not empty in the Bar Association and demonstrates what true partnership is and what democracy is. His election proves that the Bureau opposes racism. We will continue to be on the Judicial Selection Committee. We have a majority of the public, we have a majority in the Knesset, and I call on Minister Levin to convene the committee as soon as possible. This is a vital need for judges, and every day that the committee does not meet is torture of justice for the public."
