Swiss airline Swiss said last week that it would allow passengers to access its basic internet package on long-haul flights completely free. In doing so, the company joins a long list of companies that have made similar moves in recent times.
An examination carried out by Israel Hayom found that many airlines allow the use of basic internet, which usually includes WhatsApp and Messenger calls at no additional charge. However, it is worth noting that in almost all cases it is necessary to register for frequent flyer clubs, and in the vast majority of cases – this too is free.

Companies that offer the free service include Turkish, Delta, Emirates, Etihad, Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways, JetBlue, Norwegian and more. It is important to emphasize that the internet service is not available on all flights of all airlines, and you should make sure in advance that these free packages are included on your flight.
Alongside the free packages that include basic internet, which mainly allows you to contact people off the plane through messaging apps, there are broader paid packages that allow browsing browsers, using e-mail, and more. Even in these cases, those who have accumulated frequent flyer points can use them and purchase Internet packages using those points.
