Hamas' military-terrorist wing allegedly revealed new information about the abduction of Lieutenant Hadar Goldin, who was captured in Operation Protective Edge.
In a video posted on the Palestine al-'An website on Tuesday, one of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades operatives who participated in the incident told details of the battle with IDF soldiers east of Rafah, in which Goldin was abducted and two fighters were killed.
Hamas publishes new information about the abduction of Lieutenant Hadar Goldin
Describing what he called the ambush carried out on the soldiers, he said, "an operative of the organization's military wing named Walid Massoud, who fought in the battle, charged at the liaison officer of the force and killed him, which led to the severing of the connection between the force in the field and its commanders, and helped complete the mission and its success."
The video shows a picture of what is described as a disc belonging to one of the Givati soldiers, taken during the battle by Hamas operatives, without specifying to whom it belongs. A message sent to Israel in this context stated that "the enemy knows very well to whom the puck belongs, and how and when it was taken."
