Update, 22:46 p.m.: Traffic is also affected by the bomb finds in Düsseldorf-Düsseltal. From the closure of the roads and until the end of the bomb disposal, the tram lines U71, 706, 708, 725 have to stop their journeys. Bus line 812 is also affected. There will also be restrictions on local and regional Deutsche Bahn services between Düsseldorf and Duisburg as well as from Düsseldorf main station to Cologne. During the defusing process, train traffic there will be completely suspended.

Update, 22:30 p.m.: According to the city, the decision was made to defuse the bomb during the night to prevent "major disruptions to tomorrow's commuter and rail traffic." Loudspeaker warning vehicles are currently on the road in Düsseldorf-Düsseltal to inform local residents. People who live in evacuation zone A (500 meters around the site, see map below) and need help with transport can order the fire brigade under the number "19222". If possible, cars should also drive away from the danger zone. Otherwise, it is recommended to avoid the danger areas as far as possible.
Contact points for all affected residents have been set up in the Max-Planck-Gymnasium (Koetschaustraße 36) and the Maria-Montessori-Schule (Lindenstraße 140). There is appropriate support from the city. At the intersections of Brehmplatz, Rethelstr./Humboldtstr., Kühlwetterstr./Grunerstr. and Tußmannstr./Grunerstr. corresponding buses are available for transport.

Update, 22:02 p.m.: The usually extended evaluation circle B (up to 1000 meters) is omitted due to the location of the bomb and the assessment of the explosive ordnance disposal service, the fire department said.
Update, 21:57 p.m.: The aerial bomb in Düsseldorf-Düsseltal will actually be defused today or "in the course of the night". This was announced by the city of Düsseldorf after the end of the crisis meeting. 13,000 people are directly affected by the evacuation, they have to leave their homes by midnight (24 o'clock). The unexploded bomb was found on Monday evening during construction work in Ahnfeldstraße. The Nina warning app had also triggered.
Bomb found in the middle of Dusseldorf – defusing date still unclear
First report from August 7, 20:49 p.m.: Düsseldorf – During construction work in Düsseldorf-Düsseltal/Zoo on Monday evening (August 7), an American ten-hundredweight aerial bomb from the Second World War was found. "Currently, the crisis management of the state capital Düsseldorf is meeting to determine the next possible mitigation date," the city of Düsseldorf announced in the evening. Further information will only be available after the session, the duration of which is unknown.
It is therefore still unclear at what time or on what day the bomb will be defused. The only thing that is certain is that the unexploded ordnance disposal service will defuse it.
