A fox hanged above the road sign at the entrance of Ales, the village of Antonio Gramsci in the province of Oristano. A gruesome image that appeared to motorists in transit, who immediately made a report to the municipal administration. The deputy mayor Fabrizio Collu and a sub-official of the Forestry Corps of the village station arrived on the spot.
"According to the forestry expert, the animal did not die of asphyxiation but would have been run over by a vehicle - Collu tells ANSA - It was a young fox and had its head crushed following the investment. Someone then wanted to remove it from the street and hang it on the sign, perhaps for a stunt. However, it was not a cruel act towards the animal", clarifies the deputy mayor. The investigators of the Forestry have reserved the right to make in-depth studies on the matter.
