Four Americans detained in Iran were transferred to house arrest on Thursday (August 10th), the family of one of them said, fuelling hopes of a deal that would allow them to leave the country.
Siamak Namazi, Emad Sharqi, Morad Tahbaz, all Iranian-Americans, as well as an unnamed fourth prisoner, left Evin prison for a house, a lawyer for Siamak Namazi's family said. A fifth American has already joined a house arrest a few weeks ago, another source said.
