Frankfurt – Katja Dofel († 52) has passed away after a serious illness. The TV journalist, who was best known for her involvement in programs such as the "ntv Börsenstudio", has died at the age of only 52 in her adopted home of Frankfurt. The sad news was also shared by the broadcaster ntv. However, the exact cause of death has not yet been announced.
Katja Dofel: ntv says goodbye to long-time colleague
Katja Dofel has been part of ntv for decades. That's why the broadcaster announced with sadness that the journalist has died. In the message, which the broadcaster published on its website, it says: "Last Thursday, our long-time colleague Katja Dofel died after a serious illness at the age of 52 in Frankfurt. Katja was a passionate stock market reporter and reported for us from April 2000 until the end of 2022 from the ntv stock exchange studio in Frankfurt."
Her dedication and tireless commitment to the topics of the economy and the stock market have impressed not only colleagues but also the audience and will be missed, even though the stock market expert has already been pursuing a new job at the Cologne-based investment consultancy Flossbach von Storch since 2022.
The statement continued: "We mourn the loss of a tireless journalist and friend. Our thoughts are with their loved ones. 'Remember her as you knew her,' her family wrote on Linkedin.

Katja Dofel was born in Munich in 1971. At school, German, French, politics and sports became her favourite subjects, which is why she studied politics, economics and literature at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich from 1990, in which she completed her master's degree in 1996.
