The definition between Boca and Racing for the quarterfinals of the Copa Libertadores 2023 already has a confirmed day and time. After the tight series of eighths that had to overcome both the Xeneize against Nacional of Uruguay (4-2 in favor on penalties), and the Academy against Atlético Nacional, which won 3-0 and reversed the 2-4 that was taken away, the Argentine teams will face each other in the quarterfinals to define who will go to the semifinals of the Copa Libertadores de América 2023.

The first match of the series will be at La Bombonera, despite the fact that the team coached by Jorge Almirón finished in first place in its group F with 13 units. It is that Racing also won its group, the A. He did it with the same amount of points, but with a better goal difference. That minimal margin caused the definition to be in the Cylinder.
This Friday, meanwhile, Conmebol defined that the first match will take place on August 23 from 21:30 p.m. with Telefé televising.
The return match, where the Academy will be home to President Perón, to define the series, will be seven days later, on the 30th, at the same time and by the same signal.
By order of the security of the City Government and Aprevide, the two parties will not have the presence of visiting supporters, although the South American tournament allows this to happen. The rule prohibits the presence of local and visiting fans, as long as they are Argentine teams.

After playing two finals at the end of last season, both teams will meet again in decisive instances, as happened in 2020. It is one of the oldest classics of Argentine football and, in the long history, they have 17 definitions hand to hand (14 for local cups and 3 for international cups), but only three in home-and-away matches. On the balance, Boca is one up: 9 against 8.
