Russia and Iran are expanding their cooperation in drone production, and Moscow plans to build 6,000 drones in the coming years for its war in Ukraine, The Washington Post reported Thursday, securing documents from a plan to build a factory in Russia for mass production of drones. According to the documents, Russia aims to produce an improved version of the Iranian Shahed-13 suicide drone so that it can undergo a longer version.
According to the report, in recent months factory workers have visited Iran to acquire the knowledge needed to develop the drones, and in one of them they were caught up in an Israeli attack. It was on January 29, when a sensitive factory in the city of Isfahan, believed to be responsible for producing drones and missiles, was attacked by explosive drones in an operation attributed to the Mossad.
