It is passers-by who made the macabre discovery this Friday morning in Drancy (Seine-Saint-Denis). The body of a Malinois dog was found hanging from the gate of the Paul-Le-Rolland high school, on Henri-Barbusse Boulevard. The animal was still lying in front of the facility several hours after his death.
"Given the way he was hanged, there is absolutely no doubt that this act of barbarism was committed voluntarily and with the aim of giving him a long and painful agony," denounces Anne-Claire Chauvancy, president of Action protection animale. The association immediately filed a complaint for "acts of cruelty resulting in death", an offense punishable by a fine of 75,000 euros and five years in prison.
"If it weren't for the holidays, it was high school students who would have discovered it"
According to information gathered by Action protection animale, the Malinois died in the night from Thursday to Friday, shortly after 3 am. "The city's CCTV cameras filmed a man dragging the dog into the street, hitting him violently and multiple times," continues the president of the association. She describes images of the animal muzzled and tied up, which "can neither flee nor defend itself."

The perpetrator, who would be perfectly identifiable on the images, would then have passed behind a prefabricated building located in front of the school, before coming out twenty minutes later, without the dog. It is in this place that he will be found. "His torturer watched him suffer before leaving him there," laments Anne-Claire Chauvancy. And if it weren't for the holidays, it was high school students who would have discovered it this morning. »
