"Thanks to 'The Voice', I took on another popular dimension. Music is not necessarily transmitted from generation to generation. "The Voice" is on television every Saturday for four months. And above all, it's a transgenerational show. Last April, on the sidelines of the release of his autobiography Pagny by Florent (Fayard), Florent Pagny spoke enthusiastically about his collaboration as a coach with the teams of producer Matthieu Grelier. From the first season broadcast in 2012 on TF1, he had agreed to take part in this new musical format of which we knew nothing yet of the success he would know.

Present from season 1 to 7 then in the 10 and 11 as well as in the anniversary edition all stars, Florent Pagny is the coach who has the most victories in "The Voice" in France. At his side, Stéphan Rizon (season 1), Slimane (season 5), Marghe (season 10), Nour (season 11) and his protégé Anne Sila (season all stars) ended their experience with the heavy metal trophy. During the spring of 2022, it was diminished by the effects of his heavy treatment to treat his lung cancer that he had accompanied the young Nour to victory. Last May, when he had just begun a new treatment protocol, he made a surprise appearance on the set of "The Voice" to share one of his songs with the semi-finalist candidates.

If it is not excluded that Florent Pagny returns to give voice from time to time to the talents of "The Voice", on the other hand his coaching career is over. "With everything that has happened to me, there is not much that I miss, I took advantage of it," he told our colleagues of Télé 7 jours about this decision. "I'm at a point in my life where I'm thinking, 'Come on, I'm going to turn a beautiful page, I've been through a lot, I'm not going to continue by repeating what I've already done.' I am entering another phase of my existence. »
