A mountaineer died Friday, August 18 by falling about fifty meters while climbing alone the peak of Spijeoles, which culminates at more than 3000 meters between Haute-Garonne and Hautes-Pyrénées, we learned from mountain rescue.

The starting point is a hiker who warned us that he had seen a person unscrewing on the southeastern slope of the peak" which rises to 3065 m, in the upper valley of Oô, explained to AFP a member of the CRS of Luchon, who intervened on the spot following the report. "We could only note the death that occurred following a fall of fifty meters," he said, indicating that the victim was a man of "forty years from Haute-Garonne".
