They prepare the fourth edition of the largest bicycle festival in the Conurbano

The proposal on wheels that had its debut in 2019 will celebrate its fourth edition next Sunday, August 27. Malvinas Bike Fest, a massive call to tour the district on bikes, will be held at Campo los Cedros, in Los Polvorines, Malvinas Argentinas.

The event organized by the undersecretary of sport of the municipality, invites neighbors whether or not they have experience in competitions of this style, to cheer up and spend a day in full movement and sport. The appointment is at 8 in the morning to make the accreditation and delivery of kits. An hour later they will start with the first round.

Those who wish to attend must register in advance on the municipality's website, www.malvinasargentinas.gob.ar. The categories are composed by age and in a mixed way: participants up to 11 years old, 12 and 13 years old, 14 and 15 years old, 16 to 17 years old, elite 18 to 29 years old, master A 30 to 39 years old, master B 40 to 49 years old, master C 50 to 59 years old, master D 60 onwards and People with disabilities. All groups must make two laps, except those under 11 years old, who must travel a distance of 1 km.

First edition in 2019.

Once the procedure has been completed and the confirmation received, on the day of the event at the time of registration, the QR voucher must be presented, either printed or digital, together with the medical fit to receive the kit, where they will be given the official shirt of the Malvinas Bike Fest, the competitor number that must be placed on the front of the bike, and a chip that will measure the time in which each cyclist made the route.

This pure adrenaline competition will take place on a 4.5 km track where two laps must be made, then the goal is to reach the finish line after traveling the 9 KM. The circuit is semi-technical and is adapted for participants who have already experienced cycling marathons and for those who are the first time.

After the two laps, all bikers will receive their finisher medal for having completed the circuit, and the first three participants in each category who have completed it in the shortest time will be rewarded. One more year, the municipality bets on this day that was a success by bringing together more than 700 people and raising awareness about the responsible use of bicycles.

On last year's edition Luis Omar Vivona, current Senator of the Frente de Todos of the Province of Buenos Aires, said: "I am happy to be able to participate and promote the safe activity of cycling. It is important to start giving security in the streets and prepare for what is coming, the care of the environment, health, but above all, the lives of people. We must generate the habit, awareness and care of the life of the cyclist on the routes."

The senator from Villa de Mayo, Malvinas Argentinas party, was the one who in March of last year promoted the "Provincial Road Safety Program for Cyclists" (Law No. 15321), which was sanctioned on April 11 of the same year. It aims to promote and encourage the safe use of bicycles as a healthy and sustainable means of transport throughout the territory of the province of Buenos Aires.
