Udo Lindenberg has to undergo surgery. But before he goes under the knife, the rock musician reveals to his fans what happens next.
Hamburg – Recently, Udo Lindenberg (77) had to cancel two appearances: his visit to the "Walentowski Galleries" in Werl (North Rhine-Westphalia) and an exhibition in Rostock. The reason was health complaints. Fans were, of course, worried about this. Now Udo Lindenberg himself speaks and reveals that he needs surgery.
"At the moment I'm Dr. Humpelberg": Udo Lindenberg needs a new knee
Udo Lindenberg has to go under the knife, but gives the all-clear. "It's all easy, just a sports injury to my knee," said the music icon in an interview with BILD. "Comes from the eternal fitness jogging, the stage action without end, banging on your knees again and again, singing while lying down, rolling backwards. Now it's a knee that's broken," he continues. The joint on the left side needs to be partially replaced.
"I'll get a new one built in every day, bang-zag: And then the Gazelle sprints off again across the stages in the stadiums and arenas. So don't panic!" says Udo Lindenberg. So he is quite relaxed about his upcoming operation. Now, however, his old knee is still bothering him: "At the moment I'm Dr. Humpelberg. But soon the new knee is in, and then comes the pirate crutch and the eye patch. Pirates of the Caribbean. So fans, keep cool, it's just the calm before the next storm!"
