A 38-year-old threatens several people with a knife in Nuremberg. The trigger was a reference to the smoking ban.
Nuremberg – After allegedly threatening several people with a knife in Nuremberg, a 38-year-old man was taken into custody by police special forces on Thursday, August 31. Witnesses report that the incident in an office complex was triggered when the man was made aware of the smoking ban, a police spokesman said on Friday, September 1.

In response, the man began to threaten other people with a kitchen knife. Police officers were called in and isolated the area around the building. They ensured the evacuation of the remaining people. During this time, the 38-year-old was in a state of mental emergency, screaming and throwing a glass bottle out of a window.

Special forces arrest man: breath alcohol test results in a value of two per thousand
Special police units finally managed to arrest the man. He suffered minor injuries. Due to his unstable condition, he was taken to a hospital. A breath alcohol test showed the man to have a value of two per thousand. He is now being charged, among other things, on suspicion of threats. Police continue to investigate the incident. (FHZ)
