The post office in Tegernsee has opened its doors for the first time with a new operator: Sven Rabenstein has taken over the business and has now welcomed the first customers.
Tegernsee – Fears that Tegernsee could be left without a post office again were great when operator Marcel Hoffmann announced his withdrawal in the spring of this year. But shortly thereafter, Swiss Post was able to give the all-clear: With Sven Rabenstein and his wife Sonja, successors were found for the branch at Bahnhofstraße 14. On Friday (1 September), Rabenstein, who has also been operating the post office in Bad Wiessee since 2019, had his first day as the new post operator in Tegernsee.
"We're at the start," Rabenstein announced on Friday. In addition to the usual letter and parcel business, there is also a kiosk with drinks, newspapers and cigarettes in the Tegernsee branch. "We have already expanded the Post Shop with a range of stationery," says Rabenstein. This area is to be expanded.
