Nissan driver ignored border police stop signs

Daniel Gibis of the Federal Police Inspectorate in Passau told the PNP: "Colleagues wanted to check a Nissan with a French registration at around one o'clock after it had crossed the Simbach border crossing." However, the driver ignored the stop signs. While fleeing, the driver, who comes from Bulgaria, lost control of his car and crashed into a house wall.

The car overturned and came to rest on the roof of the road. The driver initially fled on foot, but was soon arrested by a patrol of the Pfarrkirchen police station. According to Gibis, there were ten Turkish nationals in the car, two of them in the trunk.

Smugglers complained of pain

"The women and men between the ages of 18 and 44 complained of pain and were taken to surrounding hospitals by the emergency services, six are still in inpatient treatment," Gibis continued. The Nissan (value: around 25,000 euros), which was reported stolen, was a total loss. A parked car and the house were also damaged.

Six injured migrants were hospitalized, four were able to leave the clinic by early Tuesday afternoon. There was no danger to life. The 23-year-old is now being investigated, among other things, for smuggling under life-threatening conditions. What happens to the migrants is still being decided, the federal police said. They had been reported for unauthorized entry.

On Friday, the police picked up a total of 75 people in the Bavarian Forest in the Freyung area. 34 were crammed into a van, some of them dehydrated.
