The demonstrations against the legal revolution are taking place today (Saturday) for the 35th consecutive time. The demonstration in Tel Aviv will take place as usual, despite the severe riots that broke out this morning between the police and Eritrean asylum seekers in the south of the city. The organizers of the demonstration said they were in regular contact with the Tel Aviv District Police and that the protest activity in Kaplan would be "adapted to the circumstances."

Speakers at the demonstration will include former Justice Minister Avi Nissenkorn, Avital Masterman, a school educator, Ronit Snir, secretary general of the Hashomer Hatzair movement, and Yuli Yavin, a high school student from Herzliya, one of the leaders of the struggle against the Kohelet Forum's content in the education system. The demonstration will be led by Prof. Shikma Bressler.

Demonstrations will be held this week under the slogan "Messianic dictatorship poisons the education system." The campaign headquarters said ahead of the demonstration: "Israel is in complete chaos, in all areas of life, and all because of the lawlessness of a criminal government that is busy with efforts to carry out a regime coup instead of running the country and ensuring the security and welfare of its citizens. The fighters of democracy will continue to stand as a wall tonight in order to send a clear message to the government – we will never give up on Israeli democracy."

Additional demonstrations are taking place in Haifa, Karkur and other cities. At a demonstration in Karkur, demonstrators blocked the road and lit flares. In the streets, a march is held at the junction of the Science Park. The intersection was blocked to traffic by the police. Speakers at the demonstration include Maj. Gen. (res.) Yom Tov Samia and Dr. Avital Davidovich Eshed of the Department of Jewish Philosophy and Talmud and the Gender Studies Program at Tel Aviv University.Davidovich Eshed said in her speech: "Curiosity, criticism and creativity are the lifeblood of humanistic education.

They are also the engine that allows democracies to flourish. But curiosity, criticism and creativity are the great enemy of dictatorships. Therefore, in the vision of this bad government, education should not be about asking questions. In the vision of this bad government, the education system is designed to give only convenient answers. It doesn't matter how false they are, and how much they distort reality. Criticism? Inquisitiveness? The investigation of the truth? Rights discourse? Complexity? Not in their school."
