A family from Saxony suffered a heavy blow of fate. Numerous people donated to help the three children and their mother.
Poßdorf - A tragic death shakes a family in Saxony. On the day a schoolchild from the small village of Poßdorf started school, his father suddenly collapsed and died a short time later in hospital. Now the family received numerous donations. Most recently, parents from northern Hesse started a fundraising campaign after losing their son.
"Doreen is the mother of Fynn and 2 other children. Together with her husband Sven, she has put a lot of energy, love and money into the house they share in recent years," writes organizer Marcus Klein in his fundraising campaign on GoFundMe. But on August 19, the family suffered a heavy blow of fate. When her son Flynn had a school enrollment event, the father complained of feeling unwell.

"You blame it on the excitement," writes his wife Doreen in an emotional text in the fundraising campaign. "But then it happens very quickly. Something is wrong. He is lying on the ground. You call the ambulance." Her husband had a heart attack and was quickly hospitalized. The family was in shock, but still went to school. As a mother and wife, she was worried, but at the same time wanted to be strong for her child.

Shortly thereafter, she received the all-changing news. "Your little son is excited and insecure at the same time because of dad. You give him a kiss and say that everything will be fine. But then you get a call. Little Fynn has just been handed his bag of sugar and you're told on the other end of the line that your husband has died."
Family man dies during his son's school enrollment: family plagued by existential fears
Since the death, the family has not only had a great loss to mourn. "Now she stands alone with all her worries and existential fears in front of her children," writes organizer Marcus Klein. He wanted to raise money for the family so that they could pay off the loan for their house.
With success: More than two thousand people have donated, so that the family now has a sum of 57,435 euros at its disposal. (as of August 31). This far exceeds the original target of 20,000 euros. "Doreen is speechless about this great sympathy," Klein continued. (nz)
