Hundreds of demonstrators against the legal reform arrived in Ra'anana on Monday evening to protest in front of the Likud faction's New Year's toast conference. The protesters are demonstrating against the reform, but also against reports about the compromise reached between the government and the opposition on the legal reform.
Information Minister Galit Distal Atabrian was forced to make her way through the crowds, accompanied by security guards who had to rescue her from among the demonstrators and enter the building.

The Kaplan Force said in a special statement regarding the contacts between the opposition and Netanyahu: "Lapid and Gantz, you have no mandate for a bad compromise on democracy. The talks will achieve only one thing – save Netanyahu, legitimize the government of destruction and advance his vision of a dictatorship under the auspices of the agreements.
"We would all love agreements that will preserve Israel's democracy, strengthen and fortify the status of the court, but this is not what is being discussed now, but rather the way Israeli democracy hangs. We call on Lapid and Gantz to announce today that they will not hold any dialogue with the government of destruction."
