Anyone who decides to have a pet should know holiday options. No problem in Bibione: here the dog simply comes with you to the beach.

Having a pet always means taking responsibility. Not only in terms of health and food for the animal, owners must also take care of suitable accommodation on holiday. However, this is often not necessary if you are a dog owner, for example.

Because in the meantime there are many ways to go on holiday with your animal best friend and enjoy it. An overview is provided, for example, by the Hometogo.de Holiday with Dog Index or the top 10 most popular travel destinations with dogs in Germany. And also in Denmark, Croatia, Austria or the Netherlands you can find plenty of dog-friendly holiday homes. The Italian seaside resort of Bibione is also particularly popular, probably also because of its proximity to the lagoon city of Venice - ideal for a day trip before or after a day at the beach with your dog.

Bibione in Italy: a paradise for dogs and their owners

There are many dog beaches, in Germany as well as in other countries. One of the most popular, however, is probably the Spiagga di Pluto near Bibione. A Tiktok video from @life_with_aponi gives a good overview of what tourists can expect on site.

The Spiagga di Pluto is located at the eastern end of the normal sandy beach of Bibione in the direction of the lighthouse. The dog beach is officially open until the end of September. On the beach itself, the dogs remain on a leash, but are allowed to move freely in the water. Especially nice: In order to get the salt water out of the dense coat afterwards, there are special dog showers.

Costs for the dog beach

As on many beaches in Italy, admission is also customary on the dog beach: You book a parasol and two sunbeds (from 23 euros/day), a dog lounger is included, or a privacy-protected "igloo" with a fence (27 euros/day). There are also dog waste bags on site and an ice cream machine with special dog ice cream to cool off.
